MATLAB stands for MATrix LABoratory.

It is a multi-paradigm programming language and numeric computing environment developed by MathWorks. MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in another language.

Click on Get MATLAB, then the next window will appear

Enter your Email, and a verification mail will come into your inbox, 




Verify your mail address by clicking directly on Verify email button or Copy the URL address and paste it into your browser. 

After Successfully inserting your info, you will be redirected to MATLAB Dashboard,


This is the main Dashboard where you can see 3 options to either Buy a License from MATLAB to use for both MATLAB Desktop and online. Or, 

You can use the MATLAB Online (Basic) feature for free of cost, where monthly 20 hours is restricted. And,

Another option is to use Unlimited Feature and time for a 30-Day MATLAB Trial. After the Trial period, you can always use the Online Basic features to plot your equation and graph Online for FREE! Still, it is not a bad option to have from MATLAB. Where you do not have to install the Software on your desktop. If you have Legacy Hardware Configuration to your pc, for to withstand this massive, heavy software consists of as high as 30 GB, to consume in your hard drive.

 We will use the 3rd option, a 30-day trial, so choose 





Fill out your current address to get a free Trial for 30 days.



yah! You successfully get the Trial.  


Now click on to the Open MATLAB Online button, to launch the Fully Featured MATLAB.

Now, Create New Script,

Save by using the shortcut Ctrl + S or from the EDITOR menu in the MATLAB window.


 When you save your Script do not forget to add .m as the name of your extension, as it is the default file extension for MATLAB for both Online and Local. 
Then from the EDITOR menu, hit the Run button


That is the whole process of getting MATLAB for free to use for your academic purpose. Or you can also use this path to use for a limited Monthly Period of 20 hours. Still great for students all over the world to simulate.
